Requirements Engineering Methodology for software-intensive Embedded Systems is the meaning behind the acronym REMsES. Developing software for embedded systems is a challenging task, often ill-defined and rarely straight forward. The purpose of REMsES is to privide a guideline for developing such systems. Researched jointly by academic and industry partners, the REMsES team is not only developing a model requirements engineering process, but also validates the model in real industrial development projects.

Sponsored by the BMBF, the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research under grant number ISxxxxxx, REMsES is part of the software initiative Software Engineering 2006. My efforts in this project have been little, as I was brought in in February 2006 to replace former associate Nadine Bramsiepe. My work in this project is only that of finishing what Nadine started while the project comes to a successful conclusion in late 2009.
