Current Projects
Software Platform Embedded Systems 2020 (BMBF Project)
From the SSE-Website: "The Innovation Alliance SPES 2020 aims at streamlining embedded software development in a domain-spanning manner. For this purpose, a seamless, model-based methodology for the development of embedded software shall be conceived. In designing this methodoloy, the Innovation Alliance focusses on the application fields of automation, automotive, avionics, energy, as well as the medical sector."
GenreFinder (Contracted Project)
Genre Finder helps you to find genre information for large collections of Movie or TV Show titles and Music Artist and Performer names by making use of clever concurrent programming techniques to query free online sources and databases.
Past Projects
REMsES Project (BMBF Project)
From the SSE-Website: "The REMsES project aims at the development of a guideline for a systematic REM of the development of embedded systems in the automotive domain. The guideline will be validated and evaluated in an industrial environment. The basis of the guideline will be a specific product model."
SketchUML Project (Hewlett-Packard Grant Project)
SketchUML is a Tablet-PC utility that facilitates the learning of complex computer-aided design paradigms, exemplified by the UML syntax. It is a pilot project in assessing the usability of minimalistic and naturalistic interfaces for such high-level learning tasks. It started out as an HP sponsored Interactive Learning Technology Lab project and turned into my Master's Thesis.
ABET Certification Interface (Master's Project)
ABET is a certification program for Software Engineering students. Since the State University of New York at Oswego has recently started a new Software Engineering major, a website needs to be developed that accompanies the program certification. This is the second project for the submitting students in fulfillment of the degree requirements for the degree they seek to obtain and as such, a project with focus on product evaluation. Hence, this project will develop and evaluate a set of high-fidelity prototypes that can be used as immediate guidelines for the implementation of such a website.
audioMappr (Web Services Project)
AudioMappr is a class project for the course "Web Services". I completed it in cooperation with my partner Daniel Schlegel. AudioMappr is a Web Service that maps the music preferences of genres and artists by country by color-coding a Google Map.
Self-Organizing Map Plugin (Bachelor Thesis Project)
I prepared a Self-Organizing Map Plugin for the Machine Learning and Data Mining Environment RapidMiner (formerly known as YALE). It can be used to structure corpora of music (mp3 files) into perceptionally similar clusters.
