Prototype 1 - Results

Less pages mean lower effort in maintaining the web site, as only few source files have to be changed and updated. However, this means, that each page will contain more information, and therefore generate the need for an interface that communicates these information successfully.

We hence suggest prototype 1 as the approach with lower navigational complexity, but higher information content. As the content will be structured such that similar items will reside on the same page, intra-page navigation is expected to be more important than in prototype 2, but without a doubt will not reduce the success of such an design.

This prototype suggests simple navigation, enforced by ample use of linked content, to convey larger amounts of information on each individual page. We believe that this is a good approach that will make the user get an overview quickly and have the user gain confidence in the navigation.
