HTML Excercise #3 ... with some more sliced images :-)

"Slicing" is a way to design a customer-ready prototype version of a web page in Photoshop or Illustrator and then cut it into smaller chunks, which can then be re-assembled as tables in HTML. It offers a convenient way to convert a page design more directly into code. Also, it can be used to quickly design roll-over effects for images, links, or other navigation items.

It is important to design the webpage wih structure in mind. This will make it a lot easier to construct the page later from the design that was created.

One important thing that I noticed about slicing is, that it is very helpful to name the slices. This will safe you a lot of hassle when putting the page back together.

One more thing... why is the name of the city of rome spelled lower case? Easy answer. When you pronounce it with a German accent, it sounds similar to the German word "Ruhm", which means "glory" - a pun.
