This Critical Analysis compares The Daily WTF with Mike William's Google Maps API Tutorial site. While both pages are very successful in conveying their mission, and shall definitely not be missing from any Web Design and Computer Science interested person's bookmark list, the one page is regarding it's design more successful than the other. Let us start out introducing the pages.

Mike William's Tutorial Site

Bad Website
Mike Williams is a nice guy. I stumbled accross his Google Maps API tutorial for a class project, in which I built a Web Service based on Google Maps. His tutorial is just like Mike himself: Helpful, competent, accurate and fast - the perfect addition for everyone using a Google Map on his site. Well, almost… if it weren’t for the site layout. Find out what's bad - design wise - in the Bad Site section.

The Daily Worse Than Failure

Good Website
The Good Site example is The Daily Worse Than Failure. This site communicates pitfalls, problems, and avoidable mistakes in the computer and information science industrie, and I must say, it does so pretty well. My reasons for picking this site - content aside - can be found in the Good Site section.
